The Mere Perception of Words Denoting Graspable Objects Automatically Induce Activation of Motor Representations

Abstract
Our goal is to show that the mere perception of words denoting graspable objects induces activation of motor representations and accordingly a facilitation of compatible actions. This potentiating effect has already been reported with pictures but not for graspable object names. Our data support such a possibility.
