Abstract

Autistic adults of average to above average ability were consistently able to follow an experimenter’s gaze direction, even from a 1sec glance. However, at the group level overall accuracy was lower for autistic adults than controls. Differences between groups were not explained by visual fixation strategies, assessed using mobile eye-tracking.
