Abstract

The presented experimental study aimed to understand whether temporal attentional biases toward disgust-eliciting stimuli are sensitive to contextual and trait-level pathogen avoidance motives. Results indicate that disgust-eliciting stimuli produced a greater temporal bias than fear-eliciting stimuli. However, neither trait nor state pathogen avoidance influenced the magnitude of such bias.
