Abstract

Current research investigated the impact of emotions on health behaviors, specifically on the choice of food. Participants were randomly assigned to experience pleasant versus unpleasant emotions (happy, sad, grateful, proud), then offered a range of healthy and unhealthy food items. Results indicate that participant emotions predicted the choice of food.
