Abstract

Racial Microaggressions (MA) are slights based on group identity that other the marginalized group from the majority group. Distal outcomes (e.g. depressive symptoms) can manifest if these slights overwhelm one's ability to regulate stress. However, different attitudes (e.g. gender prejudice) can influence the risk for depressive symptoms.
