Abstract

Interpersonal synchrony affects the aesthetic experience we have when watching a joint performance (Vicary et al. 2017). The current study demonstrates that compared to synchrony on the level of movement intervals, performances in which performers velocity profiles are aligned on the millisecond scale yield stronger aesthetic experience in observers.
