Abstract
Research on distinctive positive emotions and specific action tendencies has always lacked attention. Moreover, how culture influences the understanding and evaluation of distinctive positive emotions has not been examined carefully. In two studies, we examined how individuals from the Netherlands and Hong Kong understood and evaluated 26 distinctive positive emotions.
