Concessions across Cultures: Reversing Competitiveness in Intercultural Negotiations through Honor and Emotions

Abstract
Three negotiation experiments test two boundary conditions in which competitiveness is reversed in inter-cultural negotiations: honor norms and emotions. The results show that honor norms and emotions moderate the effect of type of negotiation (intra- vs. inter-cultural) on concessions.
Emotion
