Abstract

Abnormal fear enhancement and fear extinction developed in PTSD. Previous studies shown enhanced neural activities (theta (4Hz) and gamma(>30Hz)) were strongly correlated with fear behavior. Here we characterized the temporal changes of neuronal synchrony and fear expression after traumatic stress exposure, this may help elucidate the pathological course in PTSD.
