Abstract

Overall, trait emotionality, rather than emotion dysregulation, appeared more closely tied to perturbed gastric activity. These findings suggest that individual differences in emotionality (i.e., threat and reward sensitivity) are associated with gastric reactivity. Furthermore, HRV offered insight towards concurrent relationships between gastric and cardiac reactivity during neutral and emotional contexts.
