Abstract

This study explored cultural differences in Narcissism, Machiavellianism, and subclinical Psychopathy between US and UK responses to the Dark Triad of Personality at Work (TOP). Although effect sizes were small, 32% of items showed significant (p<0.01) differential item functioning (DIF). A cultural explanation is offered, with implications for organizational practice.
