Abstract

To determine what makes people attracted to each other, we measured couples’ physiological reactions during a blind date. Couples were wearing eye-tracking glasses with embedded cameras linked to physiological measurements. We demonstrate that the strength of physiological synchrony enhanced attraction between couples and their sexual attraction increased during eye contact.
