Abstract
Predictability of masked-words presented in a bilingual context modulates type-1 language processing; no clear effects were observed in type-2 metacognitive language processing. This effect is present only in the difficult, low-proficiency condition, i.e. words presented in the second language of bilinguals. Predictability confers no processing advantage in the first language.
