Abstract

Using highly controlled but socially-framed, dyadic-task paradigms, we investigate the degree to which cognitive processes, such as spatial orientating of attention or cognitive interference effects, are sensitive to the social relevance of the environment in which these behaviours are performed. We suggest our results reflect a skilful attuning to others.
