Abstract

This experimental study revealed that participants adopting a polycultural mindset exhibited increased acceptance of intrusive inflows of foreign cultural influence into one’s own culture (culture fusion), while participants adopting a multicultural mindset conversely exhibited increased acceptance of the intrusive outflows of one’s own culture’s influences into foreign cultures.
