Abstract

We examined self-event connections (stability, perspectives, change) in challenge narratives written by African, Asian, and European descent participants (n = 310; age 18-24). Asian and European, but not African descent, participants with at least one connection self-reported higher growth, although this differed by connection type, indicating cross-cultural research is imperative.
