Incorrect Information from a Reliable Adult Impacts Three-Year-Olds’ but Not Older Children’s Statements about Pretend Food

Abstract
To investigate age differences in credulity, children between the ages of 3 and 6 indicated whether a food object was real or pretend before and after hearing correct or incorrect information from a reliable adult. Three-year-olds changed their answer more than older children, even when the adult was incorrect.
