The Child-Parent Relationship, Negative Life Events, and Psychopathology in Childhood

This study examined the relationship between Adverse Life Events and psychopathology at 9 and 13 years of age, and the role of the parent-child relationship in moderating this relationship. Data were obtained from a nationally representative, longitudinal study of children and their families in Ireland (Growing Up in Ireland).
