Abstract

Anti-Semitism and Islamophobia in contemporary Western societies pose a threat to peaceful cohabitation. The present study analyzes the relationship of specific knowledge about religious traditions to prejudices towards Jews and Muslims and their traditions. Findings indicate the relevance of subjective (vs. objective) cultural knowledge for anti-Semitism, but not for Islamophobia.
