Abstract

Recent studies showed that fine motor skills predicted the acquisition of decoding and spelling. To better understand the mechanisms underlying this relationship, we tested a hypothesis, supported by the results from investigations of learning disorders, which suggest that rhythmic abilities mediates the link between motor skills and language.
