Abstract

We examined the effect of gender on perceived charisma. Results of two samples (N=672) showed that female candidates were perceived as more charismatic than male candidates, and female study participants perceived the candidates as more charismatic than male participants. Results confirmed findings attributing more charismatic leadership behaviors to women.
