Abstract

Academic dishonesty was predicted by psychopathic traits in college students. Triarchic Psychopathy Measure Disinhibition and Psychopathic Personality Inventory-Revised (PPI-R) Fearless Dominance and Self-Centered Impulsivity factors predicted hard-core cheating. Students were most likely to cheat if they had high PPI-R Fearless Dominance factor scores and felt that cheating was justified.
