Workplace Anger Costs Women Irrespective of Race

Abstract
This research investigated the role of race, gender, and emotional expressions in workplace evaluations of' competence and status. An experiment finds that men and women are viewed as more competent when expressing anger relative to sadness. Across races, however, angry women were accorded lower status than sad women.
