Gender Differences in Prosocial Behavior: A Cross-National Analysis

We provide a large-scale investigation of stereotypes and gender differences in incentivized prisoner`s dilemmas including subsamples of ten countries. This procedure allows us to investigate determinants of men and women`s cooperation behavior (i.e., social preferences and risk preferences) as well as determinants of gender differences across nations (i.e., gender inequality).
