Abstract
Gender-leadership stereotypes among Japanese employees and workplace diversity were examined using the implicit association test (IAT) and explicit measures. Results indicated that women held a stronger implicit gender-leadership bias, i.e. strongly associating men with leadership. Further, implicit bias was stronger when employees perceived their workplace climate to be male dominant.
