Abstract

Using quantitative psychometric modeling of behavior and electrical brain activity, we addressed whether emotion cues processing through decision-making engages specific neural substrates or whether it relies on the same mechanisms used to process non-social cues. Our findings indicate a selective, prioritized neural representation of socially-relevant perceptual cues during perceptual decision-making.
