Therapist Expertise in Occupational Therapy of Children with Developmental Disabilities

We examined differences in the framework of understanding children with developmental disabilities, between experienced and novice occupational therapists. The results of the experiment indicate that in comparison to novice therapists, experienced therapists are more likely to attempt to understand the cognitive psychological aspects of the child.
