Abstract

Using data from 199 patients, this study examined whether neurofeedback via electroencephalography (EEG-nf) reduced symptoms of hyperactivity, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, and depression. Results showed that the relationship between EEG-nf sessions and mental disorder symptoms was U-shaped. Findings suggest that practitioners should adhere to a brief (approximately 30 sessions) EEG-nf protocol.
