Face It: The Role of Visual Cues and Behavioral Information on Visual Representations

Abstract

In three studies we manipulated features of a person’s facial characteristics and information provided to participants about their actions and observe how these two factors influence the visual representations the participants develop of the target’s facial characteristics. These findings provide insight into the formation and alteration of visual representations.
