Abstract

Some research suggests that being born preterm is a vulnerability factor whereby those born a significantly time before their due date are more impacted by negative environments. The current longitudinal study of 8568 Irish adolescents at two time points (9 and 13 years) does not support this vulnerability hypothesis.
