Abstract

We demonstrated the theoretical concept of integration-to-boundary, showing that participants use time-variant boundaries that can be adapted to match reward contingencies. Toward this aim we carried out two experiments with self-terminated choices between rapid sequences of numerical values and developed model-based and model-free analysis supporting integration towards collapsing boundaries.
