Abstract

This poster details the development and validation of a critical consciousness scale for Black parents. The extent to which they critically analyze educational inequities, their feelings of self-efficacy, and their school engagement are measured. An exploratory factor analysis (EFA) resulted in six factors that are internally consistent and theoretically related.
