An Examination of Black Women's Knowledge of Postpartum Depression and Their Attitudes Towards Seeking Mental Health Services

Abstract
Purpose: Assessment of postpartum depression knowledge and attitudes towards seeking mental health services. Design: Forty-Three subjects asked to complete pre-test/ post-test surveys. Method: Sample t-test used analysis. Results: Statistically significant in improving knowledge. Implications: Providing education increases knowledge. Recommendations: More interventions to increase attitudes towards seeking mental health services.
