The Level of Construal Involved in the Elicitation of Core Vs. Moral Disgust

In six experiments we find that different levels of construal are involved in the elicitation of core disgust versus moral disgust. As a consequence, changing the level at which the disgusting stimulus is construed differently influences the intensity in which core disgust and moral disgust are experienced.
