Abstract

Lesbian, gay, and bisexual individuals experience greater health disparities due to discrimination and other minority stress processes. This study compared responses to a novel laboratory induction of minority stress between sexual minorities and heterosexuals. Findings show that laboratory induction of minority stress produced stronger effects among sexual minorities than heterosexuals.
