Cognitive Style and Interhemispheric Communication: A Global-Local Interference Perspective

Present study investigated the nature of interhemisphieric communication among Field dependent (FD) and Field independent (FI) cognitive style participants using Global-Local Interference task. Findings suggested that in Local task condition, degree of psychological differentiation and ability to inhibit irrelevant information collectively leads to significantly differential performance among FD/FI participants’.
