The Effect of Social Identity on Decision Making: An Analysis in Negotiation Context

Abstract

Participants who were primed with a social identity were compared with a control group with regards to their loss-averse behavior in a negotiation. Participants reminded of their social identity were expected to present more loss-averse behavior, however, results revealed that there was not such a difference.
