Abstract

The aim of this study was testing the assumption that while ingroup threat increases paranoia, outgroup threat increases conspiracy beliefs. Results do not give support to this assumption but indicate that both threats elicit negative emotions. This influence is stronger for ingroup than outgroup threat.
