Does Minority Stresses Moderate the Relationships between Investment Model Constructs Among LGB Couples?

Rusbult’s (1983) Investment Model of Commitment’s constructs and two minority stresses were investigated among 210 LGB participants in romantic relationship. As hypothesized, commitment to relationship was positively related to satisfaction and investment and negatively related to alternatives. Homophobia and concealment moderated the relationships between investment model’s constructs.
