Training Emotional Competence in Teachers

Abstract

Training the social and emotional competences of ongoing teachers has been widely neglected in teachers' education so far. We therefore developed a four-day training for ongoing teachers and evaluated its effects on emotional competence. Results show an increase in knowledge and a small improvement of emotion regulation abilities.
