The Relationship of Motivational Dynamics and Resilience in Academic Setting

Abstract

This study suggests that resilience of Filipino students is positively associated with academic motivation, emotion regulation and the implicit theory of intelligence. Specifically, motivational factors relating to intrinsic motivation, identified self-regulation, the cognitive reappraisal of emotion, and incremental beliefs of intelligence play a critical role as shared mechanisms of resilience.
