Prolonged Control Deprivation Inhibits Variety-Seeking Behaviors

Abstract

In Experiment 1 and 2 We adopted concept identification task, and found that brief control deprivation did not affect the variety-seeking, whereas prolonged control deprivation reduced the variety-seeking. Experiment 3 investigated the effect on luxury goods and found that brief control deprivation would decrease the variety-seeking on luxury goods.
