Abstract

The present research examined whether Black immigrant and nonimmigrant adolescents in the United States respond to ethnic-racial identity (ERI) and discrimination measures in the same way. Results indicated that several ERI and discrimination measures were not invariant across generation status. Implications for theory and methods are discussed.
