Abstract

We investigated whether the climbing-wall observation through mimicking the actual movement affected the memorization of the route in climbing competitions. We found that the “climbability”, irrespective of the participants’ expertise, was essential for the recall performance rather than the mimicking of the actual action during the observation of the wall.
