Abstract
This study examined the generational differences in parenting styles in Mainland China, and the mediation effects of parenting styles on the intergenerational transmission of emotion regulation. The relation between caregivers’ cognitive reappraisal and children’s adaptive emotion regulation was positively mediated by parents’ warmth and autonomy, as well as grandparents’ regulation.
