Abstract
Four studies showed that people can reliably detect how much self-control another person has been exerting in a prior task based on nonverbal behavior. Nonverbal expressions of ego-depletion were associated with cues in the face, body, and voice signaling levels of self-control capacity, fatigue, and some negative affective states.
