Abstract
We used multi-modal methods to investigate the influence of cellphones on social interactions and the
relationship between survey responses and observed behaviors. Cellphone availability reduced social interaction
among participants. Participants were aware of the addictive properties of cell phones and cellphone dependency
predicted the occurrence of other relevant issues.
