The Contribution of Therapeutic Processes in Combination Treatment of Antidepressants with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Depression.

Previous research on psychotherapeutic processes are confounded by patient prognosis as a potential eliciting factor of therapeutic processes. This study applies machine learning techniques to independently model patient prognosis, allowing an unbiased estimate of the contribution of therapeutic processes to be estimated. Implications for personalized medicine are discussed.
