Abstract

Over 85% of children experience postoperative pain. This study aimed to determine whether adult behaviors impact child physiological activity and which participant demographic factors alter adult behavior in response to child postoperative distress. The findings suggest that adult behaviors and participant demographics are associative factors in pediatric postoperative distress outcomes.
