Abstract

Racial discrimination is linked to poor mental health (Soto, 2015) and it has been shown that maladaptive coping strategies intensify symptoms (Seaton, 2014). In this, we seek to explore if Black identity factors, as emphasized by Cross (1991) influence the coping strategy employed when faced with discrimination.
